Anthony Andrisani
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
BSc, MA
My practice supports adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, and addictions/substance use disorders using evidence-based care. I treat alcohol and nicotine dependency, including smoking and vaping. I create individualized interventions and treatment plans based on your unique needs.
I am also an experienced couples therapist, helping partners rebuild connection, improve communication, and navigate conflict. I help each person feel heard while providing couples with practical tools for healthy communication, conflict resolution, boundary setting, and rebuilding trust. My approach remains nonjudgmental and focuses on rebuilding the connection in your relationship.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness approaches, and trauma-informed care to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. My practice employs a client-centred approach to support recovery, develop coping tools, and strategies for emotional regulation. I am here to provide support whether you are looking to achieve short-term goals or concerns that require a deeper level of processing.
My practice is grounded in empathy and understanding with a strong emphasis on creating a therapeutic environment built on trust, respect, and compassion. I recognize that the therapeutic process can be difficult at times, and I offer steady and consistent support through periods of adversity and change.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have 4 years of experience practicing as a therapist and 3 years of experience facilitating support groups and working on a mental health hotline. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
